Der Volksgruppensprecher der Grünen Burgenland Joško Vlasich kritisiert die Versäumnisse der Bundes- und Landesregierung in der Sprachenpolitik

. Vlasich weist auf das drohende Aussterben der Volksgruppensprachen hin. Auch diverse Vereine haben laut Vlasich (Blog) ihren Anteil an der negativen Situation. „Eine Sprache, die vom Kindergarten an nur noch als Sprache in Kinderliedern geübt wird, kann auf längere Sicht nicht überleben.“ Im Gespräch mit Susanne Horvath für die Sendung „Roma sam“ meint Vlasich, dass konkrete Bildungs- und Sprachbeherrschungsziele zu definieren sind, die notwendige personelle und finanzielle Infrastruktur ist zur Verfügung zu stellen, mediale Unterstützung auf allen Ebenen ist zu gewährleisten. Die UN-Hochkommissarin für Menschenrechte Navi Pillay hat am 11. März 2010 ihren Italienbesuch abgeschlossen.
