60 bis 70 Roma haben vor dem Krieg in 12, 13 kleinen Häusern in Gritsch gewohnt. Einige Gritscher Roma sind bereits vor 1939 deportiert worden. Heute ist von der einstigen Roma-Siedlung nichts mehr zu sehen.
„Als der Krieg ausgebrochen ist, ist mein Vater beim Militär gewesen. Meine Mutter ist damit überhaupt nicht fertiggeworden. Nach dem Krieg litt sie an Depressionen und war immer in Behandlung. Albträume waren ihre ständigen Begleiter.“
