Wir möchten Sie auf den aktuellen zwölfseitigen Italien-Bericht von Amnesty International (englisch bzw. spanisch, veröffentlicht am 11.3.2010) aufmerksam machen, der sich mit den Menschenrechtsverletzungen durch den sogenannten „Nomaden-Notstandsplan“ (siehe hier) befasst:
Mit dem „Nomaden-Plan“ wurde erstmals ein Programm auf der Grundlage von Sonderbefugnissen erarbeitet, die auf einem Erlass des Präsidenten beruhen, mit dem im Mai 2008 der „Nomaden-Notstand“ ausgerufen wurde. Der Plan ebnet den Weg für die Zwangsräumung Tausender Roma und für die Umsiedlung der meisten, aber nicht aller Personen in neue oder erweiterte Lager am Stadtrand von Rom. Es gab keine echte Konsultation mit den Roma, die von den Maßnahmen betroffenen sind. Dieses Dokument enthält die Geschichten dreier Familien, die nur nach einem streben: einem Leben in Würde.
