Die kommende Jahrestagung der traditionsreichen Forschungsgesellschaft Gypsy Lore Society findet – nach Washington (2008), Helsinki (2009) und Lissabon (2010) – im September 2011 in Graz statt. Organisiert wird das Treffen von unserem Verein Roma-Service und unseren österreichischen Partner-Einrichtungen [spi:k] und Romano Centro. Im Anschluss die englische Aussendung samt Call for Papers:

The 2011 Annual Meeting and Conference on Gypsy Studies will be held at the European Centre for Modern Languages, Graz, Austria, September 1 to 3, 2011. The meeting is being organized on behalf of the Gypsy Lore Society by [spi:k] (Sprache, Identität, Kultur), an Austrian association dedicated to the documentation of minority cultures and languages, and two Austrian Roma organisations, Romano Centro and Roma-Service. More information about the conference will be published on the Gypsy Lore Society web site.

Call for Papers: Papers on any aspect of Gypsy Studies are welcome, but substantive scholarly papers will be given priority. Papers should be 20 minutes long with an additional 10 minutes allotted for discussion. Abstracts should be submitted no later than March 15, 2011. Notification of acceptance will be announced by May 15, 2011. Send your abstract of no more than 250 words in plain text format (no tables or charts) in the body of an email message (not as an attachment) to pluriling@uni-graz.at.
