Damit wird Romanes von mehr Europäern gesprochen als beispielsweise Slowenisch, Irisch, Litauisch, Lettisch oder Estnisch. Trotzdem ist Romanes im Gegensatz zu diesen Sprachen keine Amtssprache der EU.
