Schweden: Roma-Geschichte in Schulen

Die schwedische Regierung hat eine Expertengruppe beauftragt, Unterrichtsmaterialien über die Diskriminierung und Verfolgung von Roma zu erstellen. Ein im Frühjahr der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellter Bericht, der die Diskriminierungsgeschichte der Minderheit in Schweden dokumentiert, soll dafür als Grundlage dienen. Anlässlich der Präsentation des Berichts sprach Integrationsminister Erik Ullenhag von einem „unbekannten und dunklen Teil der schwedischen Geschichte“, dem man sich stellen müsse.
Die im März von der Regierung ernannte „Kommission gegen Antiziganismus“ ist für die Erarbeitung der Schulunterlagen verantwortlich. Geleitet wird das neunköpfige Gremium vom ehemaligen Menschenrechtskommissar des Europarats, Thomas Hammarberg. Die Nationale Agentur für Bildung (Skolverket), das Forum för Levande Historia und der Diskriminierungs-Ombudsmann werden die Kommission bei der Erstellung der Lehrmaterialien unterstützten.
