Barankapark – Rastplatz der Roma
Der Platz war jahrzehntelang Rast- und Lagerplatz der Wiener Lovara. Im Jahr 1942 wurden alle dort lebenden Menschen deportiert. J. Mongo Stojka ist einer der wenigen Überlebenden dieser Zeit. Seine Großmutter Baranka kehrte jedoch nicht mehr zurück. 1999 pflanzte J. Mongo Stojka zu Ehren von Baranka einen Kastanienbaum. Man setzte eine Gedenktafel auf Initiative von Mongo und Ceija Stojka. Organisatorin Charlotte Müller-Neumayer, Vereinssprecherin der Organisation „Kulturraum 10 Favoriten“, erklärte im Interview, dass es ihr besonders wichtig sei, das Denkmal, das in diesem Park errichtet wurde, in Ehren zu halten.
