Bereits zum dritten Mal wird der Volkskulturbereich als Jahresthema in den Mittelpunkt der Aktivitäten des Landes gestellt. Auch ein Liederbuch der burgenländischen Roma ist geplant. Insgesamt widmen sich 21 Einzelprojekte dem Thema, teilte Kulturlandesrat Helmut Bieler (SPÖ) heute mit. Der Startschuss fiel beim Sängerball im Kulturzentrum in Oberschützen (Bezirk Oberwart).
„Es sind nicht nur Haydn und Liszt, die uns stolz auf unsere musikalische Tradition sein lassen. Das musikalische Erbe des Bundeslandes schöpft aus reicher Quelle. Altes deutschsprachiges Liedgut, die Lieder der Roma, aber auch die Musik- und Gesangstraditionen der Kroaten und Ungarn haben unser Land kulturell geprägt“, sagte Bieler. Das Singen in all seinen Facetten habe es sich deshalb verdient, im Mittelpunkt der Jahresinitiative des Kulturreferates zu stehen. Als Projektpartner dienen die burgenländischen Medien, etwa das ORF Landesstudio. Im Rahmen der Sendung „Burgenland heute“ werden 18 Lieder vorgestellt, um das Bewusstsein für das Kulturerbe „Lied“ zu stärken.
