Roma-Journalisten ausgesperrt

Ungarn: Akkreditierte Roma-Journalisten aus dem Parlament ausgeschlossen. Journalistenverband spricht von schwerem Angriff auf die Pressefreiheit.
Pusztaranger, 26.3.2012: Am 14. März 2012 wurde dem Maler István Szentandrássy der Kossuth-Preis verliehen, die höchste staatliche Auszeichnung für Kunst und Kultur in Ungarn. Szentandrássy ist Rom, er stellte bereits im Roma-Pavillon der Biennale Venedig aus.
Das Romaportal sosinet.hu wollte von der Preisverleihung im Parlament berichten: „Es ist uns wichtig, positive Beispiele zu zeigen, wir sind sehr stolz auf ihn.“ Obwohl sich das Team von Sosinet im Voraus ordnungsgemäß akkreditiert hatte, wurde ihm nach einstündigem Warten und etlichen Telefonaten von einem Mitarbeiter der Presseabteilung des Parlaments der Zutritt mit der Begründung verwehrt, ein Organ diesen Namens existiere nicht. Ein Mitarbeiter des Staatssekretariats für Kommunikation im Ministerium für öffentliche Verwaltung und Justiz sagte den Journalisten später, die Führung habe es sich in letzter Minute anders überlegt, und dagegen sei nichts zu machen.
Sosinet.hu gibt es seit drei Jahren, es wird vom Unabhängigen Medienzentrum (Független Médiaközpont) herausgegeben und ist bei der Medienbehörde unter der Nummer 2223 registriert. Der Ungarische Journalistenverband (MÚOSZ) protestierte gegen diese Diskriminierung und sprach von einem schweren Angriff auf die Pressefreiheit. István Szentandrássy selbst nahm den Vorfall mit Bestürzung zur Kenntnis.
