Der 1958 geborene Fabian Mmagu stammt aus der Eisenstädter Partnerdiözese Awka in Nigerien. Von der katholischen Bischofskonferenz wurde Fabian Mmagu im Jahr 2004 zum hauptverantwortlichen Seelsorger für Roma und Sinti ernannt. Gleichzeitig ernannte ihn der Eisenstädter Alt-Bischof Paul Iby zum geistlichen Assistenten für die Roma- und Sinti-Seelsorge in seiner Diözese.
Fabian Mmagu wurde 1988 vom damaligen Bischof Stefan Laszlo zum Priester geweiht. Seine Seelsorgertätigkeit begann in den Pfarren Marz und Rohrbach, bevor er Pfarrer in Großpetersdorf wurde. Seit dem 1. September 2011 hat Pfarrer Mmagu das Amt im Pfarrverband Großhöflein-Müllendorf inne.
