Nobelpreisträgerin Elfriede Jelinek schrieb das Nachwort zum frisch erschienen und letzten persönlich zusammengestellten Gedichtband Jovanovićs: „Mein Nest in deinem Haar – Moro kujbo ande ćire bal“ in der Edition Niemandsland (Drava-Verlag). Der Drava-Verlag, die Grüne Bildungswerkstatt Minderheiten und der Verein Romano Centro luden anlässlich der Buchpräsentation zu einem Abend zu Ehren Ilija Jovanovićs ein: Ursula Hemetek (Ethnologin), Mozes Heinschink (Linguist), Alev Korun (Abgeordnete zum Nationalrat, Grüne), Christa Stippinger (Vorsitz Verein Exil) sowie der Autor und Lyriker Peter Paul Wiplinger setzten sich im ersten Teil des Abends in Reden und Gesprächen mit dem Werk von Ilija Jovanović auseinander – unter Moderation von Thomas Busch.
