Das Projekt „Romane Thana – Orte der Roma“ wurde vor kurzem auf der ROMALE!10 präsentiert und beschäftigt sich mit Orten und Plätzen der Roma und Sinti in Österreich. „Romane Thana möchte dazu beitragen, Orte und Plätze, an denen Roma und Sinti gelebt haben, zu dokumentieren und dadurch die Vielfalt ihrer Lebensweisen und die Formen des Zusammenlebens mit der Mehrheitsbevölkerung zu zeigen“, so Andrea Härle vom Verein Romano Centro im Interview mit Gilda Horvath. Diese Orte sind verschieden: historische Rast- und Lagerplätze, ehemalige Wohnsiedlungen, aber auch Orte, die mit der Verfolgung und Ermordung sowie dem Gedenken daran in Zusammenhang stehen. Begonnen wird mit Wien und der Steiermark, die Bearbeitung des gesamtösterreichischen Raumes mit Schwerpunktsetzungen ist bis Ende 2011 geplant. Die dabei gewonnenen Informationen sollen in einer Ausstellung resultieren, die voraussichtlich ab dem zweiten Halbjahr 2012 zunächst in Graz zu sehen sein wird.
